Hello artists and bronies alike! I have never actually introduced myself so, I think I will quickly take the time to do that. I'm ShadowofaDemon88, but I can simply be called Scott whenever someone wishes to speak to me directly. I have been a co-founder of this group for nearly a year, and I like to take a moment to quickly thank everyone for cooperating with me on anything that we may have discussed. I was appointed to this position by my close friend MewTwo-EX and since the appointment MewTwo-EX, myself, and Sir-teutonic-knight have run this group without hiccup for a while now. Running a group like this, is for the most part simple, but it has it's demands as well; which sometimes clash with the demands of an adult life style. We've all been down that road though, so I will not digress. Once again, thank you, and if I may hold the floor a little longer, just a couple of group related things:
Please remember to be vigilant in your folder pickings when submitting to this group. We take pride in our meticulous sorting of art here at MLP Everything Group. It's annoying during submission, but in the long run it is for your benefit. Items that are sorted into correct categories are more likely to get exposure by your targeted audience, and if someone viewing the art finds it in good calm conscience, they are more likely to comment or share the piece. You guys have been doing great with this, I just ask that you all keep it up!
These have remained virtually untouched for most of the year. If you guys ever have any questions about a folder and what should or should not be in it; feel free to leave us a comment or note. We do take the time to reply to anything and everything that comes our way, and the same policy goes for if you think a new folder needs to be added.
Marketing the group
I have been rather mediocre at this and for that I apologize. However, especially new bronies and artists, don't be afraid to share the group around among friends to increase exposure and communication. We have a huge collection of MLP art, and we always want more! Share the group and hang out if you like. I mean, the mods will be watching but this is supposed to be a fun place dedicated to the sharing and critiquing of the art which brings us together. We look forward to keeping it that way.
We are in the works of possibly attempting to host some group dedicated challenges. Unfortunately, this is only in the idea phase and we will eventually need prizes to toss into the mix, but I just wanted everyone to know that it has been being discussed on and off. If you have any ideas, or would like to donate to potential prizes, please comment below. We welcome any and all input, so if it is something you might be even a little interested in, please let us know.
And lastly (for artists)...Prints on Demand services.
This is something in the works of being offered by the group's founder. The details can be found in a journal link that I will include, but long story short. Is there a convention you can't physically make it to, but know you have fans there that want your product? Are you going to be low on stock at a convention that we will be in attendance at, and need prints ASAP? If that's the case, why pay the inflated prices at a Staples or other print service shop, when a fellow brony has most, if not more, than the equipment you need or want? Mewtwo-EX has been attending cons for multiple years; if you do not know him, well then I am slightly surprised to tell the truth. He's been providing prints for The Traveling Pony Museum for the last two years, but due to infighting in that group; he's decided to attempt to strike it out on his own, to benefit you guys, the artists. He's a trustworthy man, and my closest brony friend to date. He knows money (sales taxes and all that stuff), he keeps extremely (almost obsessive) detailed spread sheets about sales, and he's a very pleasant-appearing man who, alongside myself and others, would love the privilege to represent any artist who can't be at, or doesn't want to be at, any convention coming up. All the money you make will be sent to you via paypal and the sales books will be kept open so that you can see how well (or yes potentially unwell) your sales progress. Bottom line, we want to be there for you, and for your fans if you can't be there for whatever reason. We attend many conventions, and we enjoy the events, but we remain dedicated to all of you guys, the artists. Here is the journal if you are interested in the idea: fav.me/d8ghfdz
